The house is located just 50 m from Dodanduwa Beach and 6 km from Hikkaduwa. Dodanduwa is just south of Hikkaduwa, one of Sri Lanka's most popular beaches. With the sea nearby and the Rathgama Lake in the back, there's plenty of things to do and see here, such as paying a visit to the Maya Viharaya Temple or taking a peek at the elusive Polgasduwa Island, home to a Buddhist monastery. The property is approximately a 20 minute drive away from Galle City and 1.5-hour drive from Colombo City.There is a 24-hour front desk, a garden, a shared lounge, a tour desk and luggage storage. The property offers free parking. The pool on the premises is for the private use of guests staying in the holiday accommodation.This is not a luxury villa - but it is a nice and well-kept established Old Traditional House in a residential area at Dodanduwa. Your host works as a government Officer at university of vocational technology. The host's wife works as a preschool teacher at her own school onsite. We all lives opposite the home, together with two children. The house can accommodate six adults plus one child: There are three bedrooms with a double bed each and a bed for a child is also available. All three bedrooms are air conditioned. There is a fully equipped kitchen with a refrigerator and kitchenware. The Western-style bathroom has a shower, wash basin and a toilet, and it comes with free toiletries. Free WiFi access and pay-per-view channels are available in this home.Please note: The owner's private preschool is onsite. And a government primary school is right next door. It's approximately 50 m to the main rail way track. An airport shuttle service is available at a surcharge. The owners will also be happy to help schedule excursions for you to get to know Sri Lanka (e.g. beaches, lagoons, sea turtle farm, Mask museum, Madu or rathgama river safari, Elephant riding, Moonstone mines, Galle fort, Unawauna beach and much more).
